Many people may have never noticed this particular #Mastodon feature, much less used it. But I find it very useful!
The website lets you record a "Note" on all profile pages, even if you don't follow them. (I think many of the apps do this too.) Notes can be anything textual: your nickname for them, when your first contact was, or maybe the toot you "met" over.
I rarely block anyone so mine are usually "they're an asshole" so I know how to handle them the next time they crop up.
