@FinchHaven @rzeta0 maybe I'm naive, but I haven't seen anything terrible in these news.

I followed a bit the struggle by friends to create a non-profit entity to take care of a free software project and I know it is complex.

Who are Sujitech and what are the bad implications? Up to now, I have seen nothing nasty, but again, maybe I'm too naive.

For me the main concern is that the stories don't seem to add up.

The official line is that they need a vehicle for US funding - hence the non-profit. That's cool.

But why those specific people on the board? A crypto enthusiast. A Twitter co-founder. They weren't chosen simply to quietly administer the US non-profit.

So the concern is a change in direction towards Peter Thiele/Elon Musk/Marc Andreeson ideas ...

I hope I am wrong.
