Outside of microblogs, friendica has a similar feel to facebook: https://friendi.ca/ Kbin has a heavy focus on link aggregation(like reddit and lemmy): https://kbin.pub/en

There is a lot more and new things sprout up all the time. It is one of the best things about the ActivityPub open protocol that all these software use.

@tooterphone_tooterflute @shrikant I'm a confirmed #Friendican. I find #Friendica and #Calckey very similar in concept, the main concept seeming to be treating the timeline as a sequence of threads. I prefer Friendica over Calckey mainly because I prefer a more old-school approach to the in-browser experience. I find Calckey far too Javascript-intensive for my taste, as it overwrites right menus, keyboard shortcuts, and more. I'd recommend Calckey though for anyone who likes a well-developed, complete #UI. I prefer a UI that works within my existing (browser+OS) environment and Friendica is a comfy place for me.
