Pinch punch first day of the month no returns
Pinch punch first day of the month no returns
CEOofmyhouse56, Fandi
Gibsonisafluffybutt, (edited ) If I get this new job, I’m moving closer to civilisation. I’ve had enough of the outer suburbs. More than enough.
Enjoy your day everyone ❤️

Seagoon_, sky pretty
Alamutjones, Hello dearest DT. I have an 8.30 meeting at a cafe, so my day is going to start reasonably well
TinyBreak, How is it ONLY friday?!
StudChud, It is just an illusion we have here on Earth that one moment follows another one, like beads on a string, and that once a moment is gone it is gone forever.
calhoon2005,
StudChud, I love that film so damn much!
Duenan, Im getting in on the action today.
My community contribution, not mine but I think it’ll still counts.

CEOofmyhouse56, What’s bunnykins name?
Duenan, Melinda I thimk.
Only paying us a visit for a couple of weeks. Little babies next to her too!
CEOofmyhouse56, So cute!
Duenan,
SpinMeAround, Feeling a bit down about work today. It’s the end of a very stressful week and I hate that every question I’ve been asked this morning I’ve had to do a “gimmie a minute to find the answer” instead of knowing off the top of my head.
Okay, typing it out makes it sound silly, but it’s just a crappy feeling. I have too much responsibility, anxiety and a heaving dose of imposter syndrome this week.
TinyBreak, I have too much responsibility, anxiety and a heaving dose of imposter syndrome this week.
Alright, i’m gonna say what you know but might need to hear: Nup. If they trust you enough to give you all the responsibility they wouldn’t do it if you were an idiot or not up to the task. Companies are dumb, but they wont expose themselves to THAT level or risk.
Deep breath, take a moment, get a coffee or a tea, spend 30 seconds in some fresh air and sun shine and you’ll feel heaps better I promise.
CEOofmyhouse56, Gimme a minute to find the answer. No. I’ll get back to you is the correct response.
Taleya, Gimme a minute to find the answer over pulling something out your arse is the mark of a quality person
oztrin, Just filled out, scanned and sent off the current batch of documents to the conveyancer.
All this adulting…
Aradina, Fun Centrelink discovery: Disability Employment Services providers have limits on what compulsory activities they can put on your job plan, so they might put the meetings as voluntary. The issue? The meetings are always mandatory according to Centrelink. The job plan doesn’t actually matter and even if you do what they say you have to do, they can then have you cut off. Great system love it.
In better news: I’m no longer required to interact with them, and instead need to continue seeking volunteer work. Vastly less bad.
Pilk, Not to mention when you show up and they tell you your provider is on leave/in a meeting/at another site today.
Aradina, That’s only happened to me once. Showed up, waiting twenty minutes, no one even told me until an hour later when they called to say he was out sick.
He is almost always late though.
unionagainstdhmo, By Australian Consumer Law I am entitled to return it. Hence, Pinch punch first day of the month to you
RustyRaven, I believe you are only entitled to return it if it was defective or not as described.
CEOofmyhouse56, Ok but you’ll have to give me your details. Name, phone number, address, email, your mother’s maiden, first dog you owned. What exactly is wrong with it again? I’ll get my supervisor.
unionagainstdhmo, I didn’t feel neither the pinch nor the punch hence why I am returning
CEOofmyhouse56, Omg. How fun is Lego? Good for the soul. Not good for the eyes.
Eagle, I love Lego. It costs too much, but I love it!
Catfish, I wish there were more decent big sets that weren’t themed to whatever franchise is in fad
Eagle, My kid gets into some of the franchises, and right now it’s Star Wars so $$$$. We keep all the instructions and over the years have accumulated a giant bag and a few organisers of bits. Free play is great fun, put the bag on the table and we’ll waste a day building all sorts of stuff. We have sone of his favourites on display but change them up often.
just_kitten, When I was a kid I got no new lego, just a giant denim bag with all sorts of pieces inherited from brothers and various cousins 8-12 years older than me. A good chunk of the instructions were gone too. So in those pre-internet days I just happily built whatever I wanted and figured the very basics of random parts from some meccano set to make a basic steerable car and some kind of winding contraption.
Eagle, We’ve built some awesome vehicles from the big bag of bits. Mine always lose in the races though.
CEOofmyhouse56, It’s addictive
Eagle, Sooo addictive. You might be interested to know that Jecka (similar principle but built differently) have a Jack Russell model or two. Yes, I’ve been sucked in but I haven’t built it yet!
CEOofmyhouse56, Woah. I need this!
CEOofmyhouse56, Omg. Need to make him with sticky uppy ears!
https://aussie.zone/pictrs/image/9d8ed05d-0b19-48c6-a399-fcaf4f98b072.jpeg
Eagle, I’m sure once you got the hang of the connector bits you’d be able to make them sticky up.
CEOofmyhouse56, I’m gonna make this happen.
Eagle, I need pics! Mine hasn’t made it out of the box yet.
CEOofmyhouse56, (edited ) Will do! $320 for the medium one. I will just get small for now. I need pics for when you do yours!
Eagle, I’ve just pulled the box out of the cupboard. Ours is a small too. The connecting pins are… quite small. Like 8mm small. Designed for young eyes small. At least they’re white though.
CEOofmyhouse56, Hahaha.
And young flexible backs too.
bull, (edited ) There should be a Lego library where you can borrow a set, build it, then return it. They’d sanitise it between builds. There’d be a fee if you return it without deconstructing it.
I say this because I like putting them together but I don’t want to display ugly Lego on my shelves. I’m not leaning that hard into the 40+ year old single male stereotype and I just think they look bad in general.
Catfish, Loaning kits of anything involves counting all the pieces when they come back. Very expensive in staff time.
bull, Surely AI can solve this problem for us!
Eagle, Pull it apart. Keep the instructions but use the bits for free play.
CEOofmyhouse56, That’s a good idea.
I ain’t gonna display them. It’s not even the real lego. I just like pulling shit apart and putting it back together so Lego kind of scratches that itch.
Duenan, Ok, this is awesome, my “boss” that I work with has given me permission put on the NZ vs AUS test match while I’m working at my desk.
My day has gotten so much less boring now.
TinyBreak, any recommendations for an office chair for home? Only considerations are 1) Budget and 2) needs good support cause my back is crap.
dumblederp, I am all about a standing desk and a shop stool. I spent as little money as possible - screwed leg extensions to a hard rubbish desk and use a hard rubbish stool.
Electronic_Owl, (edited ) I have the Bathurst chair from Officeworks. It’s categorised as a gaming chair, but it’s comfy and supportive for general use. For $168 I think it’s as good as the $400+chairs. If you have an Officeworks near you it’s worth just going in and trying some of the display models.
tombruzzo, Those Bathurst chairs have been popular with guitarists because the arms fold all the way up. I know because it’s why I bought one and I’ve seen them in the background of Marketplace listings.
Decent chairs but the pleather does die fast. I bought a Steelcase Leap and it has been great, but budget could be an issue there
just_kitten, I wouldn’t mind something like that but with fabric. I hate pleather. Also why are so many of these chairs made for giants? I thought maybe the Typhoon Viper Fabric one for $100 more would be nice to try, but it’s recommended for users nearly 20cm taller than I am.
tombruzzo, My leap has fabric and a low back so it might be better suited to you
MeanElevator, Sitting on one now, and can concur. It’s not fancy but been solid for me since 2020
TinyBreak, Thats what I had, yeah. love it, but they die fast.
