@reginagrogan Giving them some of the help they need would cost less than the money spent on incarceration. But too many people don’t want to think of alternative approaches to public safety. They believe they’re safer when people are locked up. Right now, our brand new progressive county DA is already threatened with a recall election because new approaches just feel too uncomfortable to a bunch of people with too much money and not enough patience. #AlamedaCounty
