Finally watched Tenet. After all the hype and discussion on Reddit when it was released, I was expecting some sort of neigh-on impenetrable profound piece of cinema, but it’s just Primer with action sequences.

I just saw this. My wife and I love this movie, and always excpected that it would stretch the truth a bit. Anyone know more about this, or have and insights to what it means (legally, morally, etc).

I’m not sure if there is a bigger platform here on Lemmy discussing new releases, but Barbie was awesome. I had a smile on my face pretty much the entire time. The kens were hilarious. I thought it was a bit heavy handed at times but as a male, I’m sure it’s just a bit of ignorance on my part....

Looking for examples of well shot, but horrible movies....

(Besides the movie being hilariously bad.) Halle Berry’s face is massively deaged through the entire movie for no apparent reason. What’s up with that?

They just feel right. Imagine fighting for the communist revolution wearing a cool long black coat and cool undersized sunglasses, listening to chuds crying that you store their manly aestheticerino....

No spoilers for Resurrections please, I’ve only watched the first 3 movies in the last couple of days. Yes, I know that I’m 20 years late to the party....

I can see why some people didn’t get into The Green Knight but I love it. I also love The Canterbury Tales and of course A Knight’s Tale....

What’s your favorite most stunning movies in fucking high quality to watch? 300, Avatar, LotR, Interstellar, …?

I tried watching it right now and turned it off about half way through. The deep and meaningful, touching story is gone, only to be replaced by annoying, contrived characters, and unbelievable situations. I don’t understand how this movie is getting such good reviews. I genuinely loved the original, but was mostly just annoyed...

Gotta be "Withnail and I" for me.

Anyone else seen it yet? I’m a fan of Bert - but not a die hard by any means. I was hoping it would just be entertaining, but it was awesome!!

I am interested in developing a consistent rating method for movies (and tv series)....
