The district has agreed to pay $200,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs to TST’s attorneys.” Additionally, the Saucon Valley School District agreed to pay the ceremonial sum of $1 to The Satanic Temple in nominal damages.
Classy AF, they didn’t even press for damages. From their blog and email newsletter.
I live close to this guy’s business. It’s a damn shame every shooting place around here is owned by MAGAs.
Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays is a beautiful facility with tons of fun shooting stations. It’s like golf, but with shotguns. You go around on the golf carts and everything. But that building was covered with Trump crap and had the MAGAs handing out yard signs and stuff on your way out.
If that place was owned by a decent person, I’d love to go as much as I could, even though it’s isn’t cheap. But after going once and getting the full MAGA everywhere, that was enough for me.
I just mail order everything now for shooting, which all the shops cry about, but when I click submit purchaseI don’t need to hear about what the Libs or black people are doing to cause trouble. Screw all these guys. Libs own guns too, why do they all insist on alienating a good percentage of their customers? Just keep your stuff opinions to yourself at work like everyone else.
I went there a few years ago for a friend’s bachelor party, it really is a great facility. We probably would have became regulars, except there was an enormous trump banner hanging up there, and when we went it was maybe 2 or 3 weeks after 1/6 so it was especially off-putting.
Pennsylvania’s current treasurer is Republican Stacy Garrity, who unexpectedly unseated a Democratic incumbent four years ago despite having little funding.
If the party supports incumbents and fights any primary challenger it just means bad incumbents hold office until a Republican beats them due to low turnout.
If we have to vote D no matter what in the general, then noncompetitive primaries take away voters only say in who’s elected.
And it sounds very simple but I’ll repeat it again:
When Dem voters feel like they have no say, they don’t vote. That reduces turnout. And low turnout is the only way republicans get elected to office.
This is great for Pennsylvania, but just in case anyone gets the wrong idea about the voters becoming more progressive, her opponent was named Bizzaro. I guarantee there are more voters in PA that didn’t think he was a serious candidate because of his name than there are voters who looked at pamphlet that says who the party was supporting.
I’m from the Philadelphia suburbs, and I’ve heard of him because I have been following the race. But I have talked with several people who commented about his name being weird, and it’s why they didn’t vote for him. There were lot’s of jokes about the Superman character, either from comic book readers or Seinfeld fans.
Erie county is home to 270,000 people. Add the surrounding counties, and you get close to 400,000.
Pennsylvania county is 1,500,000 and there’s another 2.4 million in the surrounding suburbs. Mr. Bizzaro would have done well to introduce himself to the opposite corner, because everybody here lumped him in with Vermin Supreme.
He’s on the National Ticket this November. Libertarian party is accepted nationwide like the Dems and Reps, so his nomination this week means he will be on every state ballot for President.
Your statement said we have no options other than Trump and Biden, I supplied a third option. You are now talking about a primary instead, which wasn’t your question or part of the article and happened three weeks ago in PA.
I'm betting it's because remote voting makes voting when Democrats don't show up more difficult. Like in surprise unannounced votes. Why? Because that's the kind of things my Republican-heavy state government in NC pulls to try and get laws through that need a majority.
Because if nobody deals with the infrastructure to handle storm water it all just winds up in our basements? Honestly it seems like a great use of government spending to me.
But PA already mandates that local governments follow certain guidelines to handle storm water, what this bill seems to be about is wether or not certain tax exempt entities including the state government itself can still be charged to support this.
Jfc. Poor medical care in prison led to him being quadriplegic, and had a bone deep bed sore, and someone was still trying to fight to prevent him being moved to long term medical care??? What the fuck is wrong with some people??
He’s literally not a threat anymore, assuming he ever actually was. What do they gain by keeping him in prison, other than his continued suffering?
