@piratero they are the OG’s of modern rap/hip hop. They revolutionized the music and the sound that you can still hear and feel their inspiration on music today. When you get a minute listen to them and study their history.
@piratero if you’re comparing it to rap of today it’s not the same. These are true lyricists which we don’t really have any more. It’s like street poetry. They made their own beats from scratch and came from literally nothing. There’s a show on Hulu that tells their story. Wu Tang: An American Saga
Wu Tang Clan and Hieroglyphics are two of my favorite all time groups. I rank them higher than Eminem, and I don’t think Eminem would even be offended if I said that to his face.
