oh cool! you can measure the cost of your code easily with Code Carbon

it tracks what hardware you’re using (CPU, GPU, etc.) and matches that up against the carbon intensity of your local power grid. They have shortcuts for popular cloud providers

the methods page is pretty clear. It does seem feasible to keep it running in production 24/7, so that’s cool, table stakes tbh. There’s definitely a lot of details to get right, but the team seems very intent on getting those details right, afaict. i just wish it were available outside the programming environment, e.g. as an out-of-process tool that you could run as a k8s side car
