The new visionOS Simulator in beta 5 finally has controls to change the Immersion level (i.e. rotating the Digital Crown), so you can properly test your immersive experiences and transitioning in/out of full-scene contexts

@stroughtonsmith I kind if missed this, but how can you turn on immersion in the simulator? Is it still the case that it can only be turned on / adjusted via code?

@stroughtonsmith I'm still on beta 2 because I saw too many people complain about beta 3.

Do you feel that beta 5 is stable enough that I might as well update to it?

I will not hold you accountable if you say yes and my world turns into poop. 😀

thx

JerryGonzalez,

@stroughtonsmith if the dial is rotated enough, can it go 360 degrees, or does it go max to like 180-230 degrees?

@JerryGonzalez 100% immersion lets you turn around and not see the real world

JerryGonzalez,

@stroughtonsmith awesome! Thanks.

schmidt,

@stroughtonsmith Is that a little “zoom out to the real world” effect as you exit the immersive experience?

Feels like it’d be unnerving if it were my IRL living room zooming and shifting like that.
