@matt how was the fit for your colleague? I read somewhere that for Apple Store demos they have ~35 different light seal sizes stocked. Would assume that people with different head shape, using your light seal might not be able to fit it perfectly.

I had to leave the Ivory app. as far as I remember, it was a one-time payment deal, I bought it. I didn’t post here for a while and a few days ago it started to prevent me from posting. reason: “this is a paid feature”.

I think it’s a dark pattern, to say the least.

A Microsoft holo lens és a Google lens vagy Meta oculus riftjei már többször rácáfoltak az egység sugarú felhasználó ama igényére, hogy ilyen eszközöket viseljen bármilyen célból.

@RPD0911 a reviewk alapján a passthrough élmény az eddig létező legjobb a VP-ben. Persze hogy nem akarnak dolgokat csinálni emberek olyan eszközzel ami gagyi élményt nyújt ilyen téren.
Kb mintha 2008-ban azt mondtad volna hogy semmi értelme az iOS App Storenak vagy Google Play Storenak, Symbianon is volt már alkalmazásbolt “és az megmutatta hogy az egységsugarú user nem használ appokat”

@dimillian hey, came back to using Ice Cubes and is it new that if I don’t use the app for a few hours then it will completely refresh timelines and jump to the latest post?
Could this behavior be configured by lists individually? The current behavior is ok for my Home feed, but I have thematic lists where 30-40 new posts arrive each day, and I usually check them at the end of the day. Now I have no idea where I left off, would be nice if the app could remember.

@dimillian no, that option is turned off. Also, this seems to only happen in Lists, and only after a few hours of not using the app.

So, here's a problem I have with Mastodon: let's say I make a post and someone replies with a racist, sexist, homophobic or transphobic comment. I can block the commenter, but that only hides it for me. Other people who come to my page will see the comment, and believe that I tacitly condone that behaviour. I'd like to be able to delete the reply from my replies list entirely. Or at least hide replies from blocked accounts. And, yes, I know that wouldn't delete it from the originating server.

@evan you can post a public reply to such comment, state that you completely despise the contents of it and that you’ll block and report the person.
This way anyone reading through your page will see that you don’t condone that behavior.

no megnézem threads, hát feleim, Mastodonnak hamar kapálnak, ha nem engedik be a buliba.
Már most tenger sok influenszer felpattant rá, akik a mastodonnak(blieskynak) közelébe se néztek soha, nem kérdés, hogy a tömeg hova fog húzni. Innentől ez meg vagy marad egy apróbb homokozó a vidámpark mellett, vagy benne.
Valahol szomorú, de ez van.

@boby_biq @alesi a legnagyobb instance se fogja blokkolni őket (.social), amin messze a legtöbb ember van. Az hogy pár ezer ember elvágja magát a Threadsről nem lesz számottevő.

@alesi akárhogyis lesz, eltöltöttem 1 napot a Threadsen és nem olyan élményt nyújtott hogy én sok időt el akarok tölteni abban az appban. A “for you” tabon ömlik az Algo által válogatott fos, iszonyat nagy a zaj. A “Following” tab meg talán működne pár emberrel, de nem 100+al.
Itt Mastodonon tök jó tematikus listákat alakítottam ki amiket könnyű végig pörgetni naponta 1x-2x. Ez alapján amit láttam maradok itt és ha lesz ott érdekes ember akkor belistázom itt és követem innen.

A Tesla whistle blower was fired after raising concerns about the safety of Tesla's Autopilot driver-assistance software and has leaked thousands of accident reports.

Anyone who's watched Elon running Twitter into the ground while also unmasking his far right tendencies is probably not surprised that Tesla cut corners on safety and retaliates against anyone who complains.

@carnage4life The last sentence is a dumb take. People who drives Teslas don't put their lives in Elon's hands, but to the many engineers who have worked on it’s ADAS systems, and to the regulators who have approved their vehicles to drive on the roads. If the situation would be as dire as you portrait it there would be thousands of accidents caused by Teslas every day. Somehow this is not the case.

@iamdtms I was interested to see the reasons, but I’m disappointed.
Half of the mentioned things are non-existent problems. For example there are millions of built in and 3rd party ways how you can script and automate Mac, I don’t get this “PowerToys” argument at all.
The walled garden argument is also not true for the Mac, it’s their most open system. I’d also argue about how overpriced they are. When the M1 chips came out they were cheaper than many Win PCs.
