@pfefferle question, was this posted marked as being in #German or #English? I ask because my #Mastodon didn't give me the option to translate it and so I'm wondering if there is something up with Mastodon and not actually an issue with the #ActivityPub plugin for #WordPress that I had reported on GitHub.
@tim I maybe have to think about using the language marker in the future. I thought I add #german to make that clear, but it would have been easier to simply mark it as german.
@pfefferle oh, I new it was clearly German, but I just wanted to make sure that this wasn't a #Mastodon issue instead of "user error". 😆
I see other posts often that are in another language and I have no ability to translate them natively in Mastodon so I have suspected it's just that someone didn't set the correct post language.
The whole language/translation aspect on Mastodon is something that probably still needs more work. Like having it auto detect the language you are posting in.
