OK this has to be one of my favourite #NotJustBikes videos yet.
It articulates so well what I've been feeling in North American cities. And the mental map stuff at the end? Made me realize THAT was why I felt disoriented when I first moved to NA!! Sure "it's a grid", and "it's easy", but... there's no #places!! 🤯
The ideas a good. Although, I'm not going to boost it because many people will think "Oh! That place looks nice, I'm going to book travel there on a Jet".
A sense of (safe) place requires a stable #climate
@robyn yeah, i feel that difference even between Halifax and Edmonton. Halifax has more places that feel like places, and are pleasant to be. Being back in Edmonton has been jarring.
