@SusanLewis Little Richard definitely sits at a complicated queer intersection and actually was influenced by Jackie Shane, a trans woman that was big in shaping the LA and Toronto R&B scenes (who I shared in one of my earlier posts: https://chaosfem.tw/@JoscelynTransient/109821065977580571). And given Little Richard's influence and likely own queerness, this all left a big footprint on modern music.
All that said, the list is literally just my posts for Trans Music Monday I do each monday...so maybe in the future? I'll definitely watch the documentary and appreciate the suggestion 💖
