In cycling heaven. Today I e-biked my old 2006 Brompton with a Swytchbike kit. Only time for a short ride up Westwood Hill in Sydenham. Tough when I was fit, impossible with late onset asthma. Now trivial.

Still learning to cope with the initial 2/3 second of real cycling on a hill before the motor cuts in.

Their marketing is a tad over-enthusiastic but they do deliver the goods eventually.

redflag,

@stuart I followed you primarily because Sydenham is where I hail from. I remember when Cobbs department store was at Cobbs Corner, two greyhound statues sat outside the Greyhound Pub and the toy shop near the gasworks had an old penny slot which could activate a toy train. I lived in Myrtle Grove opposite the bomb site. How different it is now.

@stuart Friend of mine got a Swytch wheel a couple of years ago and got her riding a lot more. The sensors though are held on with zip ties. Same for you?

@Kleen

Yep. Essential cycling equipment. A friend of mine split a tyre and got home on a couple. Only works with diac brakes!

The new kit has a much smaller battery which preserves both the fold and the ability to use any bags on the standard mount.

Zips don't detract from a professional appearance imho.
