    @krzyzanowskim Localizing media stores is incredibly hard. There is a complex matrix of the language(s) spoken in the country of your storefront, the languages of your device, the language of the content and the language of the texts and images written by the editorial teams. Music did improve a lot while I was there in this regard (not my doing, not taking any credit) but something like this will never be perfect.

    @krzyzanowskim I’m not saying it’s impossible, just a hard problem. Suppose there’s a Polish band that is well known enough in Poland to justify some editorial content written (a few paragraphs with the band biography etc). These texts are usually written in the language of the relevant store. This would likely be Polish, and maybe English, but probably not really. Now imagine I’m browsing the Canadian store, with my device set to Portuguese and open that band page. What am I supposed to see?

    @krzyzanowskim I don’t the specifics of the polish store, it was just an example. 😊 Music used for many years the category names in Brazilian Portuguese in the Portugal store. Some were Brazilian slang to the point that I didn’t know the meaning. Took them a while but they finally localized the thing in European Portuguese as well. Trust me, I poked some people about these problems and it’s really not nearly as simple as it seems.

    @krzyzanowskim Never said you didn’t. The case you pointed out is easily fixable, could and should be fixed.

    Again I’m just saying a worldwide media store will never be fully consistent regarding languages. It’s not a “system does not allow” problem (the system DOES allow), it’s a “literally every content in a specific language will not be translated to every other language on the planet” problem (including meta-stuff like categories, labels, editorial and legal content, etc).

    @krzyzanowskim Yeah, that is a simple problem and shouldn’t be happening. Just saying the general expectation of having all the content in the same language in a worldwide media store is not realistic. But they certainly could do better in some places.

    @krzyzanowskim It is the same with Spotify. The ✨Machine Learning ✨ gives you content based on your current location, not the language you want.

    It is specially nice when you don’t speak the local language so you can just ignore every single recommendation and ad.
