@realTuckFrumper@mentallyalex Never trust armchair diagnoses, even from clinical experts. It’s unethical and imprecise. You cannot diagnose psychopathy from a distance, it require multiple one-to-one assessments.

People diagnose other people from a distance all the time, and in the case of, say, Trump, there is a mountain of evidence, in private and public speeches, behaviour (bragging about grabbing p**sies), stealing documents, staging a bloody-coup, etc. It's in some ways easier to diagnose at a distance, because on a one-on-one, the patient will be trying to manipulate the assessor.

@purplepadma@realTuckFrumper@mentallyalex An experienced sailor will know when it's safe to put out to sea, by observing the clouds, and direction of the wind, a wine-connoisseur will need only sniff the cork to know if the wine is good, or poor... and a 3yr old child knows that Trump is a Malignant Narcissist, which is another name for psychopathy.
@squig@realTuckFrumper@mentallyalex I’m not going to argue you with you, I spent six years working with mentally disordered offenders, ten years as a mental health consultant working alongside top UK psychiatrists and psychologists, and I’m just about to start a PhD working with people with personality disorders. So you are not going to convince me that it is right or effective to diagnose at a distance, and this convo is at an end
