@StillIRise1963@RepShontelBrown If straightening and / or lightening your hair is what gives you better service, social integration and decreases your likelihood of encountering racism (like it does), people having to do this deserve protection. I’m white but know enough that a ”colour blindness”-rhetoric is just newspeak for continuing with those slight acts of micro-racism everyone does without any consciousness of it involved.
