It was cold this morning. Still in the 30s when I went for groceries this morning, so I put on tights under my bike clothes, and was pretty toasty.
@enobacon That #Yuba is sooo nice. I used one from the #RiversideParkConservancy (#RPC) to pick up trash along the #HudsonRiverGreenway also known as the #HRG. RPC didn't like it until I tightened the steering cables - a simple no tools operation. So smooth. Able to shift while standing still. Totally awesome. RPC also neglected to fill up the tires and lost the parking hardware. I filled up the tires but laid it down when it wasn't in motion.
@enobacon It had a Bosch mid drive motor. I can't remember much about it. It was over a year ago. I think it was this super cargo bike https://yubabikes.com/cargobikestore/supercargo-cl/. I'd borrow it again in a heartbeat but haven't seen it.
@enobacon two derailleurs? Yikes. I never saw a bike that had more than 1. Web search is an amazing thing. Found reddit explanations of two derailleurs and the 3x8 setup.
@enobacon It was a Supermarche. I knew it was french sounding. and it was white. I didn't pay any attention to the gearing other than knowing that I'd never seen a bike that you could shift standing still and it had an electric motor.
@Iragersh they changed the name, but I don't think they ever made one with an internally geared hub. The current electric model comes with a 10sp derailler, and I'm pretty sure that was the case with the french name too, so it sounds like you were on a modified one.
@enobacon it had an envolio hub though was definitely midmotor. Was early in my ebike investigation.. if custom, then done before delivery. Subsequently got an ebike (not midmotor just aluminum) for the weight mostly. Very few are under 40lbs. Mine is 35. Need to heft it up subway stairs.
