@zachleat Just going to share this here in case it's useful for anyone: https://github.com/t-mart/kill-sticky Popups like that are the sort of nonsense I typically hide with something like Stylebot, but Kill Sticky is great if you just want to remove annoyances on a site you don't plan on returning to.

I'll also say I have no problem naming and shaming sites that do this. The tactic is bad enough, but the smarmy "we're denying you a choice for your own good" language deserves to be punished.

@zachleat like why implement an illegal cookie consent popup. I just don’t get it. If they don’t care about the law then why even have the popup, fine break the law & accept the consequences (up to £500k fine), but this just illustrates exactly how they are breaking the law. Which is even more stupid.

@simevidas @zachleat very good point. I had a bit of a look at the ICOs enforcement of PECR and yup. Looks like zero. Still genuinely glad I spent six months of my life correctly implementing GDPR and a compliant & accessible cookie banner for a global org though.
