If I am EVER as boring as this dude here, this unstructured, frankly ever this irrelevant when giving a speech, people PLEASE TELL ME. Even if it hurts.
As a speech maker you’re taking your audience’s time. The LEAST you can do is try putting yourself in their shoes and structure your thoughts.

Ich kenne diese Leute. Ich habe Dutzende Meetings mit ihnen bestritten. Sie denken, sie wüssten "wo die Wurst wächst".
Man muss ihnen deutlich machen, dass sie schlecht sind. (Keine schlechten Menschen, aber schlecht, in dem was sie tun = unprofessional.)
Die Deutschen gelten international als "unhöflich", weil sie so "direkt" sind. Aber diese Direktheit fehlt so oft, wenn solche Leute auf der Bühne stehen.
Man muss deutlich sagen, dass der Kaiser keine Kleider anhat.
@jon Guys in their fifties are sometimes resistant to learning new things. They got there with their sub par presentation skills. Nobody challenged them, ever. Underlings only rolled their eyes. Overlings chose them. They never cared about the audience. Et voila: death by ppt. (Exceptions apply). Writing skills are also not really a thing in German speaking countries. Don’t know why.
