@jerry How are you finding the feature set of Mobilizon? and the administration of it?
I run a 5,000+ person Meetup and I've wanted to move away from Meetup for a long time, but every time, we find the discoverability of Meetup exceeds any benefit of building our own thing, and nearly all competitors stagnate and die, or thrive but abandon the community-oriented features that compete directly with Meetup.
@jerry I've lost track of the number of times that someone in my Meetup organizers community has started a working group on replacing Meetup and it fizzles as soon they realize that it's a lot of work to get to the minimum feature set.

Strong agree; I built a very rudimentary meetup replacement a couple of years ago when WeWork purchased Meetup.com, but it was a side project and lacked many important features (even though it was enough for my group).
I started to revive the project this fall because I still hate Meetup and there's still a wide interest, but of course here's Framasoft with a beautiful solution.
Looking at my remaining roadmap vs Mobilizon's shine, I expect I'll put my project back on the shelf and spend some time setting up Mobilizon instead. If convenient, I'd love to compare notes with you when I get little further along @jerry .
