I'm definitely moving away from #Firefish (@irfan) and making this #Sharkey instance my new home. Most of my exports have finally completed (why does it take so long even just to export small following lists and such?), and I'm just waiting for my notes/posts export to hopefully complete sooner than later since I heard that migrating away from FF would cause you to lose access to the account or something like that? Idk sounds kinda weird and complicated. Happy to be moving, and happy to see others have moved too from such a dumpster fire of an instance of an otherwise neat service/project.
@irfan@irfan unfortunately I’d lose about 200 people I follow if I moved to kitsu. :/ I’ll stay here for now but I’m convinced now that FF is not the way to go for me.
@kosta@irfan I see, well that kinda sucks. You can just stay in Akkoma which has been well for you I assume vs FF, or perhaps find an alternative Sharkey instance that do not do so?

@Kio@Amelia@kosta@irfan@kio I see so with the added context of mastodon.social only being silenced, while mstdn.social the one being suspended - I'm assuming these answers correspond to only mstdn in this case for as long as they remain suspended while mastodon.social is safe?
@irfan@Amelia@kosta@irfan@kio as long as silencing does what i think it does. Like I said before, the server will not show posts from that server on our global timeline, but you are still able to communicate with that server.
