@SJohnRoss I'm frankly flabbergasted by the amount of very bare-bones games out there with no preview of, or even explanation of gameplay mechanics. Like, yeah, no thanks, I don't think I'm going to go in blind buying on a one/two page game with absolutely no idea of how it works, only a paragraph or two of supposed flavor.
@SJohnRoss Funny you mention that. I was just chatting earlier today with some folks about how broad RPG and even TTRPG have become, given that TTRPG can be anything from pencils, papers, and people around a table to a purely virtual experience with complex computer graphics and AI assists for the GM. And that's not even getting into the actual rules differentiators.
