Not for #30DayMapChallenge but I need to keep myself motivated with other things. Here's a map of Indonesia showing all earthquakes greater than magnitude 5.0 from 1923 to 2023. Inspired and made possible by @milos_agathon.
@terence I'd love to see some of your code for the awesome stuff you do with all the ray*verse. Even just a tiny little example to get started, especially on the glowing points. I love what you do!
@tim_salabim@tim_salabim Thanks Tim! I'll share my code when the challenge is over; it's a jumbled mess of trial-and-error in my console right now. For now, here's what I do:
1, Get elevation data for region of interest
2. Get point data
3. Make sure both are in the same projection
4. After plot_3d, use render_points() to draw the points on the 3d map
5. Use render_highquality to transform the points to spheres
