You put something down, and it disappears in to some sort of worm hole. You search everywhere, and it is not there. Even checked CCTV to confirm nobody nicked it off the door step.
I put all my tools away, where they belong, but the wire cutters are not there, or anywhere else.
I ended up buying more, and amazingly the originals have not magically appeared 5 seconds later, as you would think!
I thought I would need wire cutters to open this packaging though.

@revk@Dragon A good read. It’s the ‘we never lose what we highly value’ comment I dispute. Anybody who’s owned Lindstrom Sidecutters or Dumont tweezers knows they fit in between their children and the dog in the sacred hierarchy of life…but both cutters and tweezers vanish from my workbench with alarming regularity. Maybe it’s mischievous soldering elves or maybe a jealous wife that wants to borrow them (to pluck & shape an eyebrow🤨?)…
@tripplehelix I was seriously at the stage of: "I was working on the front door locks, and had tools and so on in the hall and open door, did someone come in and nick my cutters while I was upstairs?"...
I even checked the CCTV. That would have been bad, but would have explained the mystery. But no luck.
