I find the self defense argument to be the least risible of those I've heard: "What if someone is trying to kill me?" I say "guns for you = guns for them."
Individuals can be responsible and careful, but society has proven it can't.
But thanks to Scalia, #2A, the industry, mostly-unreal boogeymen, and gun fanciers, here we are.
