@dukepaaron I've heard Alaska more often, usually based on the idea that it's underpopulated relative to size and/or hardly anyone wants to live there.
Which actually describes that part of the Ottoman Levant and early British Mandate rather well, except it was swamps and malaria rather than cold.

@floating The people I've heard it from most saw it as a big old empty space. They weren't putting much effort into it.
There's got to be some group who is and have worked out a CZ theology for it though. I've run out of bandwidth to try to keep up with those theories.
@dukepaaron Send the Palestinians to fucking Finland if it's such a great idea. Uprooting an entire existing nation sounds like a really dumb plan. It's almost as if they don't really want a solution.

They keep acting like the Arab population has more rights to lands that they violently conquered, literally colonization, and controlled before it became posh to just randomly call any European originated population that.
I truly wonder if they understand indigenous communities at all. It’s like if Americans, that didn’t accept indigenous peoples, were being kicked out by the indigenous population they would have the same problem.
It's pretty weird that people think Jews shouldn't live on "Palestinian" land even though Jews have a far longer history of connection to that land than the Palestinians, but casually talk about dropping the Jews among Finnish, or Native American, or Uganda, or Malagasy, or Siberian indigenous (looking at you Birobidjan!) like there are no people living there now.
