The way it works is that you specify the trim size, paper stock, page count etc, and it produces a custom template with suitable guides, in the right colour-space and at the appropriate DPI. @ctietze They’re good. They have print services locally in the EU, UK, and US (the old LightningSource facilities). The main benefit of Ingram is that they’ll also handle catalogue-insertion so that regular bookstores know about the book, and also handle Amazon, both in terms of the catalogue and supplying copies for warehousing.
@mattgemmell Thank you! KDP royalties are higher, so that requires some convincing, but at least it's not playing into Amazon's market dominance in all things web shops and books.
