@mxtthxw fun fact, in one of my first sixth-form gigs with a metal band in 1987, our stage fright-stricken 14yo RAF base kid singer stood on a guitar lead, pulling out not just the jack but the assembly. The guitar was custom built left-handed and while my bandmates restrung a college guitar upside down I was forced to play a drum solo, and in the middle of that drum solo, I did the 3/4-into-4/4 trick from the middle of I Owe You Nothing.
@mxtthxw the rest of the drumming on the song is really standard quotidian 80s and then suddenly you get some basic modulation and it's all like "ooh ambassador, with this fill you are really spoiling us"
@mxtthxw Craig wasn’t really on the scene by that point (he ended up doing well behind the scenes in the music industry, I think). I liked Luke because I always went for the underdog, but saw (stalked) Matt more as he lived a bus ride away. I have some funny stories from that time.
