@mxtthxw Craig wasn’t really on the scene by that point (he ended up doing well behind the scenes in the music industry, I think). I liked Luke because I always went for the underdog, but saw (stalked) Matt more as he lived a bus ride away. I have some funny stories from that time.

Still on track at 8,437 words, but feels like I've done way too much fiddling this weekend, rather than pushing forward. Next week's going to be tough, as I'm working six days, including a lot of travelling and events. Also have no idea wtf is going to happen in the chapter I'm working on. I think the honeymoon period might be over!

After 28 days of NaNoWriMo, I kind of feel like I've been hit by a bus. (Funny, as buses are a theme in what I'm writing.)

Anyone else? This normal? It's probably a lot to do with the fact I'm a perfectionistic, detail-oriented, edit-as-I-go type, so this has been HARD.

Anyway, just over 5k words to get down in the next two days ....

I'm shattered, I have chronic bum-ache from sitting at my laptop so much, the husband forgot what I look like, and my exercise routine went out of the window. However, I have a whole draft of a new novel, which would normally take me years (going by previous efforts). I also learnt loads.

And that wasn't today's only win. I popped into Sainsbury's on my way home from a work thing earlier. I was feeling confident with just 800 words to go at that point, so I picked up a celebratory advance bottle of fizz. AND I ONLY GOT ASKED FOR ID! 😱🍾🏆
