Today a friend and I went to the swap meet and I bought a bunch of random VHS tapes, including one that was an amateur video from the 1989 Renaissance faire here in LA.
It was just a couple of young doofuses walking around the fair, interviewing people and being awkward and horny.
BUT they interviewed one girl with whom they exchanged numbers. Using those names and numbers, my friend and I spent the afternoon tracking these people down and finding social media accounts and phone numbers for them. We messaged and called them. I hope we hear back.
@macegr buying a tape from someone and seeing that they are on the tape seems like a much less interesting story arc for TV than buying a tape from someone, finding someone else on the tape, and then tracking that stranger down three decades later
