In all seriousness, my guess on the answer to why they’re shipping it in its current state is that they went public because they are desperately craving consumer and developer feedback. They need it to help them shape the roadmap and features for the next versions of this thing, because they clearly don’t have it completely figured out yet themselves…

@stroughtonsmith yeah crazy they rushed this out all of a sudden when no one really expected it till later this year.

Do you think we’ll have to wait till visionOS 2.0 for them to catch up or will the post substantial 1.x updates?

@stroughtonsmith The entire “unfinished-ness” of the software is exactly why I just can’t convince myself to spend $3,500 on this, no matter how impressive the hardware is.
