Thanks to everyone who participated. 17 is not a lot, but I don't have a lot of followers in the grand scheme of things.
Some categories, I forgot about: PDAs, VOIP, locks, and alarms. Of course, I was limited to four options anyway here. I also realize "lighting and similar" is vague, but I was thinking of blinds and other environmental controls that don't come under thermostats.
@cs Thermostat and door lock. Sadly not my choice as the apartment management installed them on all the apartments. At least I don't have to add them to my home network. They work through the cell network.
@MichiganJoeFrog I was limited to four responses types. I wasn’t even thinking about locks at the time. publius mentioned printers and VoIP which is something else I wasn’t considering. No one has said “My fridge” yet.
