Not me grinning ear to ear! I spent all day today making a nice color version of the 3D #eclipse Sun and woah its working!

Headed to Dallas, #Texas on Sunday and was gonna drop this off at a studio in Fort Worth for their fundraiser auction, but I think its too big for a carry on.

I will admit- its not as round as perfect as I want, but definitely getting there!

Excited to see it age in fully- should be nice an bright.

Two halves of the eclipsed springy sphere sitting on the table waiting to be welded.
After pumping checking its color for air leaks before adding the mercury. Hallelujah! No leaks! This is pre mercury.
Eclipse spring sphere sitting naturally while hooked up to the pump via its side tubulated mercury trap. I was able this time to bury the side tubulation inside the shape. I was afraid it would be tough to remove the mercury trap, but it was way easier than I thought it would be.

I revisited the #documentary Grizzly Man last night. Still holds up - a beautiful but insane account of a man who made it his life’s mission to protect bears in Alaska from poachers. Did he do more harm than good for these bears? Worth a watch just for the footage alone, although some is a bit unsettling. @movies

So I was at the grocery store earlier. Walking in through the parking lot, I see a gentleman and a 6ish year old girl leaving with him. He has a bouquet of flowers in one hand and groceries in the other.

In passing, I hear him say to the youngling “So if you’re ever in a relationship and someone isn’t treating you well, you need to leave”

Hey life lessons amirite? I don’t disagree but it was just one of those #random overheard conversations I didn’t even mean to hear that took me off guard.
