#Misphonia is a familiar experience for many #autistic folk. Associated with acute interoception & brain activation across multiple systems, it can make what is everyday normal for others acute misery for us.
For me the worst is high frequencies esp from radio or other small devices, even or especially with the volume turned low. These sounds drive me to fury, desperation for escape & eventually meltdown.
