@bradsaillard Argh I don’t know why they went with touch controls though. Dealing with a touch screen with hands covered in water and flour is a nightmare
@christianselig Yes, agreed. Placing everything under the glass makes it much easier to clean, though I have no idea if they still work well with soiled hands. My oven’s touch controls seem to work fine when operated with wet hands.
Frustratingly, this is the kind of thing you can’t really try out for yourself before you buy.
@MuseumShuffle@christianselig I wish I could buy a new convection fan for our Breville toaster oven as a service part. I can’t. Did some internet “research” (=anecdata) and appears they fail a lot in the 2-4 year age range. Non-replaceable. It’s otherwise such an awesome little machine. But no more convecting for us. :(
