purplepadma, For some reason I wasn’t issued with an e-ticket for my phone when I purchased my train tickets to go down to campus this month, so we had to drive all the way to a station with a ticket machine (my local station has zero facilities, not even a bench) to collect them. How is this making train travel convenient/greener? And then the machine didn’t recognise my code, so I had to ask the man in the ticket office. This is why closing staffed ticket offices at stations is such a terrible idea. They really don’t make it easy
