ColinTheMathmo, 11 months ago @mathyawp Initially you can use it just like Twitter. Post things, watch the feed(s), reply to things, and as such it's like Twitter. But unlike Twitter, it's not a single big room. So you need to create an audience and curate your home feed. There are three main feeds to watch. (a) The "Local" feed ... that's everything said by people on this instance ... Mathstodon; (b) Your "Home" feed ... that's what is said by, or boosted by, people you follow; (c) Notifications ... that's when someone mentions you by name, or things you have chosen to follow. Have a think about that, then come back to me. 1/2
