@bleeptrack these things are soooo old, I know someone rode them, when I was still at Uni... So the original batteries must be ancient (in terms of technology). What does an upgrade to new batteries yield, in terms of increased range (before/after upgrade)?
Here's mine, nicknamed "ObriEL" and old enough to be born as #MiniEl.
Unfortunately the #magicsmoke came out when I tried to figure out why it doesn't charge. 😒 (Took it over without documentation on any of the modifications from the legacy of a late friend, @Obri, hence also its nickname. So in case anyone knows CityEL repair shops in Switzerland accepting CityELs of unknown state…)
@xtaran@isziaui@Obri oh lovely one 😍! Hope you get it figured out!
Elweb.info has quite nice resources of EL internals, but maybe already spotted the wiki :)
@bleeptrack: Already did, yes. Main issue is that mine has 3 (!) 230V plugs and one 230V socket. And they don't seem original (all Swiss Type J/Type 13). One is for the battery heating. Not sure about the other two and the socket. It also has no more the original batteries and I assume that it has a non-original BMC.
I so far contacted 2 repair shops in CH—one of them is the one @isziaui mentioned—and one of them was rather unfriendly, accepting only unmodified cars. (Just forgot which one… 🥴)
