Starting to think we should all be a wary about using TLDs that belong to a country we definitely don’t live in.

I don't know that much (read: nothing) about the politics of Montenegro but my .me is looking a bit precarious based on some other stuff that happened in the past couple of weeks.

@ehqo Nothing specific to .me no, sorry didn’t mean to panic you.

There was another tld something happened with but I’m blanking right now as to what it was.

@robb a non country one feels “safest” since you have zero say in what they do… more than my website even, I wonder if I should migrate email away from a country specific. But they are so fun!!! Curses!!

@robb I lost a .eu and .re domain when we left the EU. Didn’t learn anything and recently bought both a .me and .is domain, but haven’t used them. Will probably just let them expire.

@robb I almost immediately regretted buying my io tld domain and I've since been stuck with it.

honestly, com, net and org are the most reliable ones that are international and then mahbe your own country tld if you trust it.

@arne I'm not suggesting anything will happen but I am considering grabbing a backup domain on the off chance.
