But never mind that. What psychopath decided to mount the socket on this supermicro motherboard so that the EPYC silkscreen logo on the processor is UPSIDE DOWN.
@ironicbadger@briancmoses For as long as I've been obsessively looking at nearly every Mini-ITX motherboard in existence, so many PCIe lanes is mind-boggling!
@briancmoses I do pay a price in so much that each pcie card must be a single slot where possible.
But each one being bifurcated individually is the real thing to be in awe of.
@ironicbadger Oh boy why, quick cover it with some Noctua beige! 😛 Looking forward to hear/watch about use cases for all these lanes, I am still getting by with what one gets on the consumer platforms. Please include (idle) power consumption numbers, that is what made me retire the dual Xeon 😄
