I just told my kid there's only one toy that I still really wish I'd had as a kid.

And, granted, printing a random stranger’s recreation of Han Solo's DL-44 blaster at my office would take over 38 hours.

But, if you account for sleeping and eating, it's basically just a day.

Point being, never tell me the odds.

@hotdogsladies Did a lightsaber for Halloween a few years back, was a bit of a chore, but worth it! Used this stuff for the tinting and color (after priming): https://www.amazon.com/Rub-N-Buff-Color-Assortment-Silver-Antique/dp/B079Q9B9FX/

And also holy wow thank you for the education on that stuff—it's right up my alley!

@hotdogsladies What was awesome about the original was that it made the blaster sound when you pulled the trigger. Not because of the sound but because the batteries gave an awesome odd heft to it when you played with it. Awesome weapon for primomitterenture.

@hotdogsladies Making Star Wars props I've wanted my entire life is one of the best things I've done with my printer. Here is a Sand Person helmet I made recently with a lot of printed parts.

I sometimes wonder why the prop master saw necessary to add scope to a handgun, and a trigger even though it doesn't shoot bullets.

But it does look cool!

@hotdogsladies this was for my Halloween costume this year (Kanan Jarrus). It probably all told was about 20-25 hours.

@hotdogsladies feels like a great opportunity to leverage the knowledge of stains and finishing methods you gained when making Siracusa's haunted statue

@hotdogsladies little clumsy and random don’t you think?

@bensk I'd probably make some modifications myself.
