KDE Plasma 6 brought HDR support to Linux!

And this reminded me that my Gigabyte G27Q monitor is broken. I've sent one back before when it started flickering first only in HDR + Freesync, then without HDR, then without Freesync and finally turned into a strobe.

Now this unit has the same problem, just a longer onset.

Can't I actually get working hardware for my money? Please?

Same with Sony Linkbuds S. Three pairs. All of them broken in similar ways. Still can't get my money back for two...

Woodcat,

@unfa Well, there's ViewSonic, Philips, Fujitsu. My AOC works fine, but of course it's an expensive model. And to buy a Gigabyte and hope that it will work… perhaps only MSI is just as useless…

@Woodcat Do you mean Gigabyte is known for making flaky monitors?

Woodcat,

@unfa I don't mess with that company at all. Not just monitors.

vacuumbeef,

@unfa I always felt that I'm special in some weird way, when any piece of tech I buy or get will have some problem. It may be not really relevant small problem, but it will occur shortly. Since childhood.
It always felt like no one else around me experienced something like this, and I was always out of luck.

@vacuumbeef I feel you.
