On the thought of bootstrapping, imagine a UEFI/base firmware implementation that starts off as mostly source, but then compiles itself as it goes along.
It’s corny but I can’t stop imagining a system that slowly builds itself up as it boots. The thought is kind of beautiful in a way, even if it probably wont ever exist
