I've been doing the Duolingo Norwegian course and also have started with Danish (but unambitious tbh) and have become quite good at reading but really struggle to follow spoken conversations (also why do you Norwegians talk so fast? :blobcatdizzy:).
@thor My perspective:
I started with the Norwegian language first and cycled extensively through Denmark in the last two summers and got along really well - because written Danish is just Norwegian with a bit different spelling here and there but one usually get the overall context.
(Does this get me a travel ban in Denmark now? 😅 )
