Now that I see Threads is actually trying to join the Fediverse, if someone starts following an Threads account with the Federated timeline go bananas?
@Perrin49 on this instance not likely, and if it does start to dominate the fedi timeline, or the moderation burden becomes too much, I will take action (informing people ahead of time of course)
As far as I know Threads still only (mostly?) federates one way which means they don't see our replies nor can they properly follow us but I don't know for sure as it is a Big Black Box.
I think threads will dominate the fedi timelines of the Big Instances like Gargron's servers but fedi timelines there are already a torrent from the hellscape that nobody likes to read. Small to medium servers will have more likely silenced or blocked threads, or are small enough they will have limited interaction. So if you want a quieter more laid back vibe you're in the right kind of place!
