    Starve the beast. Stop eating out.

    I get taco bell when I'm on the road.

    @feld
    Amortize it. I always make 2x or 4x batches. And you can usually parallelize some other task while sth is cooking down or baking.

    But also if one is willing to eat slop anyway, slop is usually fast. Shit like boxed mac and cheese, frozen burgers, etc.
    @Moon

    why,

    @feld @r000t @Moon thats why you spend an hour to make 5 meals and put the other 4 in the fridge and spend 5 minutes repreparing the leftovers.

    Moon,

    @why @feld @r000t there are only 24 hours in a day and my lot in life is the NFT factory.

    why,

    @Moon @feld @r000t if you value your time too high you start to value out necessary meditative chores and take mental chip damage. i dont think anyone who buys new clothes bc laundry takes too much time is sane

    Moon,

    @why @feld @r000t the pro gamer move is simply to not wash your clothes until you can feel the grease

    guizzy,

    @Moon @why @feld @r000t Or as I like to call it in the context of my jeans, "the waterproof coating"

    Ohhhhhhh

    That's what a spouse is for. I abstract away all of my gf's domestic tasks because she's too autistic to do them in the first place but also because I live off the proceeds from all the cybercrime.
    @Moon @why

    why,

    @feld @r000t @Moon my personal opinion is you should cook most of your meals no matter how much you make. the sole exception is if you have a spouse/housemate who does the cooking, in which case you should still help clean and other chores. i price humility at +$1000000/hr (nonliquid soul-equity)

    @why @feld @Moon @r000t cooking your own food ensures there's no seed oils or corn syrup going into your meals

    Moon,

    @hakui @feld @r000t @why I use only pure peanut oil

    threat,

    @why @feld @Moon @r000t i like to cook at home as it's a hobby, but also a good way not to consume high-processed trash. once in a while i go out for a meal, but it's usually a restaurant i know well and know what they put in the food.

    --overpaid tech worker

    Moon,

    @why @feld @r000t I think you are right but my autism or whatever it is demands that I spend as much time per day as humanly possible churning out code.

    threat,

    @Moon @why @feld @r000t brother!!!! i know this life all too well. going hard in the autismo-paint generates many codes. keep up the blank-stare work my friend!

    @feld
    Americans are disposable cattle. This is made clear by our healthcare, housing, and policing systems.

    The first time Americans tried to do something about being disposable cattle, they were flashed with identity politics. That Americans fell for this, is why they deserve to continue being treated like disposable cattle.
    @Moon

    threat,

    @feld @r000t @Moon i can confirm the culture shift when i moved to the states. in europe it was very relaxed. when i was in an office in the states i felt like i had to shovel my food in to beat the clock. it was like the final level of tetris but with sammmiches

    we’re on pace for the dollar to lose its purchasing power by 50% every 20 years now

    And that’s a conservative estimate! :blobfoxsad:

    @ElDeadKennedy @feld The wealthy don’t want you to have savings. They want that money in their accounts instead. :blobfoxupsidedown:
