@GossiTheDog Good article, I knew Sony had a lot of exclusives but I didn't realise they were being so underhanded about it. It's definitely a lot of money purely to stop being shut out, but I assume they think it will pay off.
I guess I'm confused why buying a company is considered anti competitive, but paying to block a competitor from having a title is not. If Sony was blocked from this negative practice, Microsoft wouldn't have to buy out companies to ensure content isn't restricted.
@GossiTheDog I would think there's a difference between paying for exclusivity on specific titles vs. buying the whole damn company, at least from a regulatory point of view.
