This is the same mine that produced "The Steamboat" tourmaline specimen 100 years ago. The coloration from this new pocket is actually very similar to this piece (in the Smithsonian)
@felixtheanimator It's a bit larger than 500 grams (so more than a pound) . The whole piece is more or less the size of a cell-phone (smaller but thicker).
